march 24-easter sunday and monday

easter sunday and monday Current mood: blessed
well sunday morning vin, sean and i went to th ehospital to see Owen. The hospital staff gave him his 1st teddy bear and took his picture and put it on a piece of colored paper shaped like an egg adn tied it to the bear and there wasa mini basket with candy for us in it. it was soo sweet. he truly is in a great hospital getting great care. i took a few pics of sean holding vin over the incubator but they didnt turn out too great as it is hard to see owen in the pics. i held him for a bit and vinny got to tlak to him and pat his head some more. vinny really has been great with him and has been very gentle without us having to remind him too many times. he always has been fascinated with babies though. we’ll see if it lasts once we’re all home and owen is in "his" home. ;))
oh and they weighed owen today and he hit the 3 lb mark (well he was 2 lbs and 15.9 oz so a flea away from 3 lbs so after one feeding he’d be at 3 lbs). we were excited!
after the hospital we headed to bremerton to my parents for easter dinner and we spent the night so we could go to navy marine relief society about getting a grant. i felt bad leaving owen and being so far away form him for soo long as we have been going back and forth to the hospital 2-3 times a day. i think sean liked the break has he is not a go-go-go kind of person so i know he has been getting tired of always being on the go.
so we are back at the hotel now. we went to the hospital first thing after getting back into lakewood and Owen is doing great. he is up to 28 cc of food and 24 extra cals with each meal. he had large stools today they said (i was thinking better them then us to change them as we will have plenty to change between him and vinny when we get home. ;) ) Owen is a pain to change despite his small size he puts up a fight everytime i go to put a new diaper on and it takes longer than changing vinny and vinny always tries to run from me.lol. Owen also has quite the personality..i think vinny might have competition and sean might get called mamma by owen too, in time of course.lol. everytime we or the nurses cracka joke he smiles like he knows what we are saying. and he will turn his head face down and then slowly open one eye and look at you and iuf he sees you looking he’ll close it and then wait a bit before slowly opening it again to look and everytime we say "i see that eye. youre not sneaky!" he smirks at us for a while and then closes his eyes. its soo funny. we are going ot hav eour hands full. ;))
other than that everything is the same and going well. still praying he’ll be out sooner than may 12th but more importantly that everything will be ok in the end. Thank you all again for all your prayers and thoughts! they are wokring so keep them coming. hope everyone enjoyed their easter!!!!!!!
