Mothers Day May 12th (2 mths old)

mothers day/owen is 2 mths
yesterday was my 1st mothers day with my two boys! i had a blast as we went to Bucca di beppos with family and friends. (thanks for coming Becca and Bubba!) then we dtrove to Beccas so we could stop and feed Owen and vinny and bubba could play (next time we will skip DQ, Becca) and then we headed out for home. When we got here i had a gift at the door from my Secret Sister (Jen), and she had a plate made with both vinny and owens handprints on it and it says Thank Heaven for little boys and one the back it has their names and date on it. I LOVED IT! i think it was the most thoughtful gift ive ever gotten for mothers day. THANK YOU JEN! Later Whittnee, Mary and I went to happy hour at Applebees and i had my first real drinks since before i got prego...lets jsut say it didnt take much.lol. although i also had a martini at Buccas earlier. ;)) so it was a fun night! Thanks everyone!!!

As for Owen he turned 2 mths old yesterday (mothers day). we are not sure how much he weighs now but we think about 7 to 7 1/2 lbs. we will fin dout for sur eon wed when we have to go back to Madigan for his 2 mth checkup. he has gotten soo big and is about where he shouldve been if he was full term (size wise). developemtnally i beleive he is a lil behind but i know that is to be expected with preemies as they tend not to hit developmental marks until their corrected gestational age and they on average dont catch up tot heir peers until 2 yrs old. it will be different going from vinny who has awlays been ahead for his age to having a preemie. Owen is starting to get those horrible bald spots in the back of his head....my only wonder is will his hair come back in red like it is?! his eyes are still blue too! oh and he has outgrown almost all of his preemie clothes and has moved up to size 1 in diapers as he has chubby lil thighs now. he's soo cute.
