july 30th-4 mth stats

4 mth stats Current mood: artistic
so we went to the dr the other day for owens 4 month appointment...you know how the military drs are. they cant get you in until they are almost ready for the next checkup. ugh!
Anyways, the dr is sure i am rigth about Owen having bad allergies like vinny as his rashes/bumps are the same as vinnys and in the same places and he has been sneezing and a runny nose like vin and i have right now (as our allergies are going crazy!) BUT he can not ge ton Zyrtec until he is 6 mths old..1 1/2 more months to go. poor guy has to wait. we also are going to try soy formula to see if that helps with his spitups and all. if that doesnt work we will go for the more expensive formula.
We are also hoping to start ECIP (Early Childhood Intervention Program). different places cal it different things but basically its for preemies to get physical and speech therapy EARLY ..s at 6 mths) so that they dont get behind later. its a great idea. and in most places the therapist comes to you which is even better. we are waiting to hear back from teh drs about it as he wasnt sure this hospital has it but he will write a referal for out in town if they dont offer it. they probably dont knowing this hospital but its ok as long as he gets it as it is something we were told he automatically gets being a preemie.
anyways, his stats are as follows: he is now a whopping 15 lbs 1 oz (we guessed 15 even so we were close)
he is 23 5/8 in long now
And the dr says he is doing great and is at a 4 mth olds level for most everything. he sees no lasting effects of being a preemie, so far (lets hope it stays this way!)
