So Vinny turned 3 yesterday! cant believe its been 3 yrs since i did my 32 hours of labor and then an emergency c section...oh what we endure to have kids.LOL. We had his party on sat and again a BIG thanks to those who showed up.....he had a blast and sean and i appreciate it! He enjoyed playing with all his lil friends and i enjoyed catching up with you all while they played.
I waited to post this because we had his 3 yr checkup this morning and i wanted to post his weight and height and all that jazz. He is now 34 lbs which means he only gained 3 lbs in 1 year! and he is 38" tall! the dr said he is in the 75% for height and weight so he is doing excellent there! He goes to speech therapy once a week for 30 mins still and will continue to do so. it is to help him answer W questions as he knows the answer but doesnt know how to respond to those questions. I think today was the 1st time someone asked what his name was and he answered correctly instead of saying some randon thing. obviously he has known his name for a LONG time but again didnt know hwo to answer the question. he seems to have a fear of being wrong so he wont answer a lot of things you ask him and will wait for someone else to say what he should've said. So we are working on this but he is doing good!
Now onto Owen. as some of you saw he took hsi 1st steps last night. yes, it was with a walker but it was a start seeing as how he had never lifted his legs in a walking motion EVER and we stuck him behind the walker and di the walking motion for him and then off he went....so, its pretty exciting even if he only made it 4 steps. He got weighed today at the drs to readjust the dosage for his reflux meds and he is 20 lbs 6 oz (i was close as i guessed 21 lbs). So in 10 mths he has gained just under 18 lbs...NOT BAD....NOT BAD! I still cant get past the fact that in jsut over 2 mths he will be ONE! WOW!! Look for details as his 1st bday is going to be extra special seeing as how he has made it soo far. its going to be fun!
well, i have to get going but thought id give you all an update. we are doing good and jsut enjoying life one day at a time...what else can you do?!
