3-18-08 off oxygen

off oxygen Current mood: excited

yup, we went in to the hospital to see him this afternoon as we were lazy and slept in late and he is off oxygen and the tube in his sotmach is out that was feeding him extra vitamins and so he has no IVs or anything now except the montior wires and the feeding tube. he is also up to 21 cc of food every 3 hrs. up 5 cc form yesterday. he is back on the photolights but it is for jaundice and they said it is to be expected and to me that is a small deal next too everything else he has accomplished. they said theres a chance he might have to go back onto oxygen but soo far he is doing great and none of them thought hed be off it already. so we are praying he stays off it.
we will post more later after we go back if anyhting has changed. oh and we got his temp. birth certificate today too. its smaller than vinnys and says Madigan Army Medical Center on it since that is where he was born/still is but its funny cuz when they get older theyll notice vinnys says navy on it and owens says army. ;)) everyone here keeps asking if we are army or airforce and we’re like "neither! We are Navy!" andi feel bad walking aorund wearing my navy sweatshirt everywhere but its all i have to wear for a coat right now.

added at 11:00 pm: we went back to the hospital tonight ands ean got to hold him and change him again and check his body temp. when sean was holding him he kept smiling at sean and he would get soo relaxed whens ean would speak. its the deep voice.lol. it was soo cute. i think we might have a daddys boy on our hands this time. hejust kept smiling. and whenever i lkaed he woul try and roll his head over to see me as i was sitting next to them and hed open his eyes and look at me. he’s soo sweet. oh and they weighed him. i guess yesterday he was at 2 lbs 14 oz which is up 3 oz form birth but tonight he was just over 2 lbs 13 oz so he dropped a bit form yesterday but still up from birth. so heading in the right dirction. we’re proud of him!
